The Secrets to Successful Partnering Between Marketing and Sales in a Digital World

Today’s reality is that marketing can measure the impact of everything they do as a result of new tools. But just because you can market to specific buyers and can measure it doesn’t mean you are effectively closing deals if you aren’t in lockstep with your Sales organization. Learn how partnering with Sales can improve your campaign messaging to reflect real pain points, how to balance inbound and outbound marketing to drive traffic and quality leads, as well as how to drive alignment through SLAs, collaborative campaign planning and integration of CRM and marketing automation systems with communications platforms. The results will be a new, real-world perspective of how buyers engage with your brand, better qualified leads that lead to faster closes, and a new “always-on” change management model that can respond to real-time changes in buying habits, market trends and competitive challenges.

APIs: The Future of Business
K-02
VP and Head of Cloud & Mobile Strategy & Ecosystem
GENBAND
2016 will see many new technologies flourish much like we have seen with the sharing economy, security and mobile. One of the most important areas of growth will be in APIs or application programming interfaces. Name any company you’ve heard of and they are likely exposing the internal workings of their company through an API. Why? Because they absolutely have to. To be more specific, APIs allow the services of company A to be used by developer B to provide an array of enhanced solutions. For example, the Uber API is being used by OpenTable, TripAdvisor and Starbucks to name a few. APIs can be highly disruptive. This means every business has to pay attention to the new opportunities they are presenting or potentially be displaced. When you realize virtually all markets are opening up to APIs at once, it’s fair to say, there really hasn’t been an opportunity like this ever before. Considering that apps have low to almost no distribution cost thanks to app stores and the cloud, at the same time, the amount of useful data and programmable functions available to developers is literally skyrocketing. This increases their value asymmetrically. What this means is – development costs aside, the opportunity to rapidly bring innovative solutions to market, all made possible by the leveraging of new and existing APIs is very inexpensive. Conversely, the right solutions can be immensely lucrative. Come spend an hour debating with a panel of experts from across the communications ecosystem who will be the winners and losers in the API economy. Be sure you are positioned to make sure your company ends up on the right side!

Cloud Standards Challenges and Progress
NS-07
CEO
Cloud Perspectives
Cloud Computing has impacted the Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector in many ways, where standardization is often a key consideration. The communications sector is now very involved with standards and initiatives supporting Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV). Steven shares updates and perspectives from several standards and communication communities including: NIST, TM Forum, ISO/ IEC, OMG, Quest Forum and ITU-T. Steven will also share the NIST Cloud Carrier Framework that clarifies where the carrier and communication activities fit into the cloud eco-system. Networks and communication are key considerations that enable cloud computing solutions to be “ready for primetime”. The cloud computing and networking opportunities continue to mature and evolve as the business catches up with the technology.
